The leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region
01/12/2021
The Whitechapel Centre was started in 1975 to meet the needs of homeless people in Liverpool. This is still their main aim but face new challenges and continually adapt.
Underwear is one of the few clothing items which (for hygiene reasons) cannot be secondhand, so organisations like The Whitechapel Centre need a constant supply to help meet demand, which we are more than happy to help with.
The Whitechapel Centre believes it is essential to empower and enable people to live independently. They work with some of the most vulnerable, isolated and lonely people in the Liverpool region. Their support workers prepare clients to take on a tenancy, deal with health issues or addictions, develop budgeting skills and move into suitable, good quality homes.
Socks In A Box is proud to be able to support The Whitechapel Centre with a donation of socks through our #socksforgood initiative. For every order we receive while The Whitechapel Centre is our charity partner we will donate a pair of new socks.
