Delivery options to suit you

We know that understanding when a gift will arrive is important when buying online. So here is how it all works with the first box of our gift subscriptions and our one-off gift boxes… sorry it is all a bit detailed but when you need to know, you need to know!

Cut off time for same-day dispatch

Firstly, we need to let you know when we will send out the first box of your order. All orders placed before midday on Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) will be dispatched the same day (unless you select a later delivery date). Orders placed after midday will be sent out on the next working day.

Delivery service options for gifts

We send all our socks using various services provided by the Royal Mail. How long it takes to arrive depends on the delivery option you select. Remember with Royal Mail 1st Class and 2nd Class that the delivery time is not guaranteed - the vast majority of parcels arrive when they should… but not all do! But we have guaranteed delivery options if the box is urgent.

Here’s the options...

• Standard

  This option is free. We send the socks out using Royal Mail 2nd Class post and delivery can be expected 2 or 3 days later, including Saturdays. No signature is required and as the package is letterbox friendly you do not need to be sure somebody will be in for the delivery. The package is tracked so you can check where and when it is delivered and the plain packaging means that any surprises will not be spoiled.

• Express

  The Express option works in a similar way to Standard delivery but instead we send out the socks in 1st Class post. The Royal Mail aims to deliver 95% of 1st Class mail the next working day including Saturdays although the actual figure has slipped below this slightly in recent months. The Express option costs £2.00.

• Guaranteed Express

  Our Guaranteed Express delivery option uses “Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm” and is ideal if you need to be certain that the socks will arrive the next working day (please note this does not include Saturdays) after they are dispatched. The package will be in plain wrapper but it does need a signature and you will be sent a tracking number to keep an eye on progress to its destination. The cost for Guaranteed Express is £7.50.

• Guaranteed Express Saturday

  If the socks are being dispatched on a Friday we have the additional option of guaranteed delivery on Saturday using the “Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed Saturday” service. The cost for the Guaranteed Express Saturday is £12.00.

Delivery for rolling subscriptions

The rolling subscriptions are treated slightly differently to the gifts with the first box being sent out in 2nd Class post and the socks should arrive 2 or 3 days later. No signature is required. The delivery is free.
